About Hasti

Iranian-American artist, Hasti Bakian, grew up in Orange County, California where she found her love of entertainment at two years old while watching Barney. From then on, she put on shows for family members and friends who came over to her parent's home. Hasti began studying acting her sophomore year of high school and fell in love. Upon graduating, she studied musical theatre for two years at Fullerton College before she transferred to CalArts to study acting and further her artistry. Hasti served as co-president of Musical Theatre Club at CalArts, in addition to being apart of the institution's Improv team. She is also an active member and improviser for Fancy Hobo Improv. Hasti loves collaborating with other artists to curate new work through devised pieces as well as writing her own works to produce.

Hasti made her international debut by playing Linda in Fight Song, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in the summer of 2019. She also originated the same role at the Hollywood Fringe Festival where this new work debuted. In 2021, Hasti was apart of a professional CNP workshop of Blood of Souls, by Rickerby Hinds. You can hear Hasti's voice on her most recent project,  where she was cast to record the English audio for the lead in Netflix's new series, The Exchange

Today, she is currently in pre-production for a TV Pilot she wrote that started her production company, Mommonjune Productions. Hasti's one woman show, Cucumbers and Commitment, will make its LA debut after a very successful workshop run at CalArts. Stay tuned for updates!
